Queenstown Lakes - NZ
The Queenstown Lakes District in the Otago Region of the South Island of New Zealand includes the towns of Queenstown, Wanaka, Glenorchy and Kingston.
The district is named for it's three major lakes: Lake Wakatipu, New Zealand's longest lake, 3rd largest by surface area and 5th deepest; Lake Wanaka, 4th largest by surface area; and Lake Hawea, 4th deepest.
All three lakes are located in glacial valleys and offer stunning scenery as well as numerous tourist activities.
